Scaling your business with technology (Ai & IoT)
Thursday 06 December 2018

How to use technology for exponential growth? Can IoT and Ai help in decision making?

How to automate business processes using Ai? Join us for an evening full of ideas, insights, and opportunities with two inspiring speakers from innovative and cutting-edge companies.

About the program:

By enabling countless connections between devices across the organization, the IoT provides us with opportunities to be more efficient in how we do things, saving us time, improving yields and adding value. However, the focus is moving from what the IoT could do, to what it can do. How it contributes to business goals and how it delivers value. Organizations are moving towards how the IoT, combined with ML, AI, and advanced analytics can help them extract insights, make better more timely decisions and improve revenues from sensor data.

Sean Lang, Business Development Director, will introduce you to Kx’s leading time-series database and their use cases across different sectors. He will be joined by one of Kx’ foremost ML Experts, Espe Lopez, who will deep-dive on ML use cases that Kx have implemented within Fortune 500 manufacturing companies alongside special mention to her most recent project with NASA where she developed AI tools for solar weather prediction and exoplanets identification!

Since its early days as the #1 in high-frequency trading, Kx have advanced into many new sectors, became UK Tech Company of the year and are now looking to hire 1000 graduates in the next 3 years. Come along to find out more!

Three Wolves, A Monkey, and a Dung Beetle Walk into a Hackathon

Hackathons are an incredible medium for creating new ideas, new friends, and finding out about yourself. As a semi non-technical person (i.e. I don’t code, at least not yet) I’ve always looked at hackathons with a sense of awe, as an unapproachable event that I always wanted to participate in. Well, I finally got my chance and it was an absolute blast!

What was the hackathon all about?
