Make Government in an AI World Lab
Wednesday 13 June 2018

Innovate your government and shape society

Border Sessions is an international technology festival in The Hague that offers a stage to authors, engineers, scientists, designers and artists. Border Sessions invites you to co-create the upcoming 7th edition. 20+ labs, a conference with 40+ sessions, a hackathon, a dinner and much more…

Border Sessions hosts the lab Make Government In An AI World at The Hague Tech.

This lab will take up a couple of pressing question: What kind of government do we need for artificial intelligence? How do we deal with the upcoming rise of autonomous actors in our services? What happens if we get a call from a robot? We would like to go a step further than mumbling “creepy” and actually imagine how we should deal with this and who.

In this lab, Border Sessions presents several speakers and workshops. For instance by Iskander Smit who will use insights from the research program PACT (Partnerships for Cities of Things). With a specially developed card game, he’ll invite you to discuss the consequences of these cities of intelligent things.

PACT research program is initiated by professor Elisa Giaccardi and visiting professor Iskander Smit of Delft University of Technology Connected Everyday Lab and has a close corporation with Amsterdam Institute for Advanced Metropolitan Solutions (AMS).
