building a cid living lab to test innovations
How can the Central Innovation District become a real, physical living lab? A place where technological innovations are not just discussed, but actually tested in public space, with the municipality creating safe room for experimentation?
what is going to happen:
This session is a joint initiative by PostNL Innovation Studio and The Hague Tech. Together with the Municipality of The Hague, the CID organisation, and a select group of companies active in the district, this workshop explores what it takes to move from ambition to action. The goal is to define the conditions and boundaries needed to enable real world testing and to prepare concrete next steps toward a physical living lab within the CID.
The session is co facilitated by Bjorn Jansen, Project Manager of the Living Lab Binckhaven, who brings hands on experience from a similar initiative in the Binckhaven district.
what will participants do:
Participants will take part in a facilitated, interactive discussion focused on understanding and alignment. Together, they will:
-
Share concrete needs and challenges related to testing innovations in public space
-
Discuss what the municipality needs in order to create room for experimentation
-
Jointly define key conditions, principles, and starting points for a CID Living Lab
