From 10:00 till 13:30 you will focus on learning by doing. Join practical AI workshops covering the latest developments in artificial intelligence. From beginners to experts, and from educators to developers and leaders. Concrete tools, real use cases, and skills you can apply right away.

CREATE //

CONTRIBUTE // technology in society - sharing perspectives, shaping impact.

This part of the day is about contributing ideas, asking hard questions, and understanding the wider impact of technology beyond tools and code.

Join debates, panels, campfires, and meet ups about how technology impacts education, research, policy, and society at large. Including a plenary talk on human vulnerability and disinformation by Ruurd Oosterwoud.

CONNECT //

Connect is where ideas turn into conversations and conversations turn into connections.

The afternoon starts with two structured networking rounds featuring around 20 themed tables, each with up to ten participants. Every table focuses on a specific theme or challenge, hosted by organizations such as the Central Innovation District, PostNL Innovation Studio, Rabobank, HAAI, and others.

Join us on 29 January 2026 for a full-day celebration of technology, innovation, and collaboration.

Create, contribute, and connect. That is what the day at TechFest is all about.

techfest 2026 - CID edition

The Central Innovation District (CID): the beating heart of The Hague’s tech, policy, and innovation ecosystem. And the topic for this years Techfest

what is the central innovation disctrict

t’s where national government, businesses, and knowledge institutions sit side by side. Where solutions for digital security, mobility, justice, and emerging technology are built. And where, in the coming years, 20.500 new homes, new offices, and new public spaces will transform the area into a thriving district to live, work, study, and innovate.

At TechFest, together with the Gemeente Den Haag, we’ll explore how we can:
• Help the people who live and work here benefit from smarter solutions
• Strengthen connections between organizations in the CID
• Surface real challenges — from testing new trams to robotics for logistics, to enabling collaboration between tech companies and the city
• Create opportunities for others in the ecosystem to contribute and build with us

We’re proud to work closely with Gemeente Den Haag, and we’re excited about the steps we’ll take together in the coming years to shape the future of the CID.
